Leisurely traveling south to our final destination--the state of Florida. After spending the first night in Rocky Mount, NC, we found this Super Walmart on our way to Raleigh, N.C.
We looked for a geocache as we neared Raleigh, but we didn't find it The outside temperature was 66 degrees so we found a park in Wendell, NC where we had a picnic lunch. Cordell wanted to play before he ate!

We went to a bass fishing expo at the fairgrounds in Raleigh and were disappointed. We agreed that the Bass Pro Shop in Maryland has just as much or more merchandise, etc. But, the parking lot here was jammed on Friday afternoon. The expo will be open on Saturday and Sunday, too.
We are spending this night (Friday) in Raleigh and will continue south tomorrow. It is really nice that we have no time constraints and can wander at will. Right now, we think we may head to Charleston, SC next, but our plans could change as we go!
LOL! Love your gourmet lunches! Hey! Nine girlfriends and I spent a DAY in a Bass Pro shop in Savannah a few years back! We had a ball! Didn't buy a thing - but took LOTS of pictures! I bet those sales people and store manager were sooooo glad to see us leave... LOL!!!
